Their most recent song, Monsters, was released in March 2019, and their most recent album was titled Attention Attention. With the release of their following few albums, Amaryllis, Threat to Survival, and their most recent album, Attention Attention Attention, they have remained famous rockers. Shinedown rocketed to the degree of fame they enjoy today with the publication of their album Sound of Madness in 2008, three years after their last album. It featured some of their most successful songs to date, such as “Save Me,” “Heroes,” and “I Dare You,” the latter of which was performed by a contestant on American Idol named Chris Daughtry. Shortly after the conclusion of their tour, in 2005, they published an album called “Us and Them,” which the band subsequently dedicated to their audience. It was a successful album that sold platinum and contained the breakout hits 45 and Fly From The Inside, as well as a rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s song Simple Man. They published their first studio album, Leave a Whisper, in 2003. Barry Kerch, the band’s original drummer, is the only other original Shinedown member still active with the band today. Because the record label was dissatisfied with Dreve, they decided not to release an album but instead disbanded the band and kept just Brent Smith, who went on to create Shinedown. The first band Brent Smith was a part of that got signed to Atlantic Records was called Dreve. Attempt Number Two to Achieve Rock Star Status A couple of their songs have been included in the Hot 100, and they hold the record for the second-most songs that have ever debuted at number one on the mainstream rock charts. Singles released by Shinedown often make an appearance on various Billboard charts. Throughout their career, Shinedown has worked with a few different musicians, with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm being the one with whom they have performed the most frequently.
This success has contributed to the band’s continuous growth. This success continued, reaching its zenith with 2008’s Sound of Madness, which led to the band developing a summer festival tour in 2010 dubbed Carnival of Madness, which they have headlined three times thus far. The North American trek will kick off on March 27 in Anaheim, California, with ADELITAS WAY, NEW MEDICINE and ART OF DYING also on the bill.Since the publication of their first studio album, Leave a Whisper, in 2003, Shinedown has consistently been at the top of the mainstream rock charts. SHINEDOWN will lead the 2012 edition of the Avalanche Tour. "The Sound Of Madness" sold more than a million copies and produced six hit singles, including a number of rock radio chart-toppers. It's a message of empowerment, perseverance, and inspiration that I think speaks to fans that have been with us since the beginning as well as those who are just learning about who we are and what we're about. It reflects on everything we've done and where we're heading. 'Amaryllis' is the manifestation of that vision, the centerpiece of what SHINEDOWN is. During the recording, the vision of what SHINEDOWN is and where it's going became completely clear.
"I've always seen SHINEDOWN as its own entity," says SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith, "this living thing that's been growing and developing and evolving over the past 10 years. Recorded at Cavallo's Lightning Sound studios outside of Los Angeles and a pair of Hollywood landmarks, Ocean Way Recording and Capitol Studios, the album was recently named among "This Year's Best Bets" by Billboard, which noted the inventive addition of synths, a 27-piece orchestra, and a 10-piece horn section to the band's powerful hard rock. "Amaryllis" sees SHINEDOWN joining forces once more with multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo ( KID ROCK, GREEN DAY),who previously collaborated with the band on "The Sound Of Madness". The track comes off the band's fourth studio album, "Amaryllis", which comes out on March 27 and follows up the band's biggest success yet, 2008's "The Sound Of Madness".
